Dr. Abdul Razak is a Consultant General Surgeon and joined NMC Speciality Hospital, Al Ghoubra in April 2017, as a Consultant in General and Laparoscopic Surgery.
Dr. Abdul has gained extensive experience undertaking thousands of surgical and laparoscopic cases at the Royal Oman Hospital, where he worked as a senior specialist in the Colorectal, Hepatobiliary, Upper GIT, Bariatric and Vasculcar Units and previously as Head of Department of Surgery at the Ibri Referral Hospital, Oman.
In 2013, Dr. Abdul joined the American Society of Colorectal Surgeon which later awarded him the fellowship of American College of Surgeons (FACS).
In 2007, Dr. Abdul attained his post-graduate Fellowship from the Royal College of Edinburgh and is a member of the Royal Colleges of Surgeons of Great Britain and Ireland (MRCS).
Dr. Abdul also enjoys a distinguished academic career as a trainer, lecturer and examiner for the Sultan Qaboos Medical College and the Oman Medical Speciality Board (OMSB). Since 1997 he has been a faculty member of Bagdad Medical College and lecturers and undertakes bedside clinical teachings for senior medical students.
Dr. Abdul is an active speaker at national and international conferences, attending numerous workshops and continuing medical education courses in laparoscopic surgeries.
Dr. Abdul is fluent in English and Arabic.
