Dr Khalid Al Shamousi is a Visiting Consultant Gastroenterologist at NMC Specialty Hospital, also associated with Sultan Qaboos University Hospital as Assistant Professor, Gastroenterologist & Advanced Endoscopist.

Dr Khalid completed his MD from the College of Medicine and Health Sciences, Sultan Qaboos University, Muscat. Further, he obtained ECFMG certificate (Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates, USA) and ABIM certificate (American Board of Internal Medicine).

He is a Fellow member of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada in Internal Medicine (FRCPC) from Manitoba University-Canada & Royal College of Physicians of Canada in Gastroenterology (FRCPC) from Ottawa University -Canada.

He also holds Fellowship in Advance Endoscopy from the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Los Angeles, CA and the American Board of Gastroenterology (ABIM) certificate.

He has presented various Research documents Internationally and been part of various National & International Conferences & Workshops.

Dr Khalid is skilled to do Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), ERCP, Variceal Glue and Banding, EGD, Colonoscopy, Endoscopic Mucosal Resection (EMR), Double Balloon Enteroscopy, Radio Frequency ablation of Barrett’s, EMR of Barrett’s, Gastrostomy Tube Placement, Gastrojejunostomy Tube Placement, Fistula and Perforation Closure, Luminal Stenting and Endoscopic Suturing.

He is also an expert in dealing with a spectrum of diseases affecting pancreaticobiliary and general GI disorders.
