Dr. Prashanth is a Consultant Interventional Cardiologist with over 18 years of experience and performing more 10,000 diagnostic coronary angiograms and 2500 angioplasties.
He completed his graduation & post-graduation from India and later his MRCP from Royal College of Physicians, UK. He also holds FRCP award from Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh. He is also trained from John Hunter Hospital, Newcastle, Australia.
He is also attached to Royal Hospital, Muscat as Consultant Interventional Cardiologist and as a Senior Clinical Lecturer at Sultan Qaboos University Hospital, Muscat.
He is a well-known researcher in the GCC region with more than 100 publications and involving in many large studies such as Gulf Race, Oman Race, Gulf Care, etc.
Area of expertise: Acute coronary syndrome intervention, primary & emergency angioplasty, bifurcation stenting, chronic total occlusion stenting, graft angioplasty & PCI in cardiogenic shock.
