Dr. Saju Varghese has over 16 years’ experience as a Specialist Anaesthetist.  He has successfully completed over 6800 cases in Oman.  He proudly attributes this remarkable achievement to his Operation Theatre team who works cohesively in tackling any challenges that may occur.

In April 2004, Dr. Saju joined the Ministry of Health, Sultanate of Oman and started working at the Sultan Qaboos Hospital in Salalah.  Since 2009, he has worked for our Specialty Hospital at Al Ghoubra performing both elective and emergency surgeries and managing emergencies in the Emergency and Intensive Care Units.

Dr. Saju provides anaesthesia services for a range of surgical specialties including General surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, Ears, Nose and Throat (ENT), Neuro Surgery, Urology, Ophthalmology and Dental.

Following Dr. Saju graduation from the Medical College Calicut, (Calicut University), he undertook his post graduation studies at the Fr. Mullers Medical College Mangalore, (Rajiv Gandhi University).  Between 2001 – 2004, he was the sole anaesthetist in a 600-bedded missionary hospital in the rural area of Tamil Nadu, India.

Dr. Saju fluent speaks English, Malayalam, Hindi and Tamil.
