Dr Santosh Kumar is Senior Consultant Neurology at NMC Specialty Hospital with more than 25 years of experience in pronounced institutions in India and Oman.
Dr Santosh completed his MBBS from Government Medical College, Trivandrum, India and post-graduation (MD) in Internal Medicine from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore, India.
Further, he specialized in Neurology (DM) at Sri Chitra Tirunal Medical Centre, Trivandrum.
He completed 2 years of Clinical Fellowship, each in Epileptology & Cerebrovascular Disorders from Canada, and obtained Diplomate in Clinical Neurophysiology (EEG) from the University of Western Ontario, Canada and MRCP in Neurology from the UK.
He served as Assistant Professor of Neurology at Shri Chitra Tirunal Medical Centre, Trivandrum and later as Sr Consultant in Neurology at Ministry of Health, Muscat, Oman, and KIMS Hospital, Oman prior to joining NMC Specialty Hospital.
Dr Santosh Balagopal holds the unique distinction of being the only Consultant Neuro Physician in Oman who is both an Epileptologist & Stroke Medicine Neurologist.
